EASY-CARE Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)
Lived Experience Group
About the Lived Experience Group
Our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Lived Experience Group supports research focused on improving the early detection of womb cancer. This group has already been formed, bringing together people with lived experience, carers, and supporters to provide insights that shape research. Your experiences help ensure the study is patient-centred, accessible, and impactful.
About the Trial
The research aims to test and evaluate the WID-easy test via the EASY-CARE Trial. Early detection can improve outcomes and reduce the need for invasive procedures. Click here for more information on the trial. The PPIE group plays a key role as advisors for the study surveys, topic guide for participant interviews, participant communications, and any research related to wider use of the test in the community.
Your Role
As a member of the group, you contribute by:
- Sharing personal experiences of symptoms, diagnosis, or care
- Advising on how to make the trial and test more acceptable and user-friendly
- Providing feedback on outreach and communication to participants
Who We Are
Our members include individuals with lived experience of womb cancer, related symptoms, or investigations. No research experience is needed – just your perspective.
The group activities include discussion sessions, document reviews, and workshops.
Payment and Expenses
We value your time and expertise. Members may receive payment or vouchers in line with our involvement policy, and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. We follow the NIHR Involve guidance.
Confidentiality and Respect
All contributions are treated confidentially and respectfully. You decide what you feel comfortable sharing, and your privacy is always protected. More information is available here.
